3 Essential Protein Packed Summer Smoothies
As an active woman in her (*cough* 30's) protein intake is essential. I've created these 3 easy recipes to introduce anyone who isn't familiar with protein powder and/or collagen protein. No added sugars, totally clean, guaranteed to keep you full, and running strong all day. 

*We can't always afford organic and fresh fruit all the time. Feel free to use fresh or frozen (or a combo) fruit. Try to stay away from canned fruit, as they contain hidden sugars.

 For The Chocolate Lover: 
The 3 C's - Cherry, Chocolate, Chia

Ingredients: 
  • 1 Scoop of chocolate protein powder (I likeVega because they are plant based)
  • 1 Cup of cherries (pitted)
  • 1/2 Cup of blackberries 
  • 1/2 Cup of strawberries 
  • 1 Cup unsweetened almond milk 
  • 2 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt (for this I used Chobani, if you want a little thicker, use Siggi's)
  • 2 Scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Protein Peptides 
  • 1/2 Cup of ice cubes

Instructions:
  • Toss all of the above into your blender/Ninja/Vitamix or other magic machine, and blend on high​

For The Beach Babe:
Piña Colada

Ingredients:
  • ​1 Cup of spinach or kale
  • 1/2 Cup of pineapple
  • 1/2 Cup of mango
  • 1-2 Tbsp. of chia seeds
  • 1 Cup of coconut water
  • 2 Scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Protein Peptides 
  • 1/2 Cup of ice cubes
  • *optional* 2 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt (can be added as a thickener if desired)

​Instructions: ​
  • Toss all of the above into your blender/Ninja/Vitamix or other magic machine, and blend on high​ ​

For The Exotic (fruit) Lover:
Dragon Fruit Vanilla Bliss


Ingredients:
  • 1 dragon fruit (pitaya); slice in half, and scoop out inside with a spoon
  • 1 Cup of diced watermelon
  • ​1 Scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Protein Peptides
  • 2 Tbsp. of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup of ice cubes

    WTF is "Clean Eating"?

    Clean eating simply put is mindfully eating whole ("real") foods, and little to no processed foods. If it's made in a lab, or you can't pronounce the ingredients, it's probably not clean. Don't worry! I'm here to show you how easy it is. Please note that eating clean above all isn't a "diet", or "quick fix".
